Mr. Mohammed S. Habib
Manager of International Organizations and ICAO Affairs GACA – Saudi ArabiaMohammed Habib currently holds the position of “Manager of International Organizations and ICAO Affairs” of the General Authority of Civil Aviation – Saudi Arabia. He served as the “Alternate Representative of Saudi Arabia on the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)” from Sept. 2016 to Sept. 2023. Mohammed is also serving as the Saudi Arabian Member of the ICAO Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP) as of 2015.
In the aviation environmental protection area, Mohammed participated in the development of: the “Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme on International Aviation (CORSIA)”, its related Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs); including the deployment, and qualification of the “Lower Carbon Aviation Fuels” as CORSIA (CEF), Co-chaired the Long-Term Aspirational Goal – Task Group (LTAG-TG) of CAEP, and the development the “Global Framework for SAF, LCAF, and other Aviation Cleaner Energies”.
With more than 23 years of experience in Civil Aviation Administration, Academia, Petrochemicals, & Power Generation, he served in supervisory, administrative, and technical roles, with a consistent history of developing international policies, instituting future policy roadmaps, and fostering strategic decisions. He holds a M.Sc. Degree in Industrial Engineering (Industrial Systems Simulation) from KAU.
