Eng. Abdelghafar Elsayed ABDELHALIM” - General Director of A/C ground handling Inspections in Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) is a Subject Matter Expert in Safety and Aviation Environment; He joined ECAA in 1998 as Airworthiness Inspector. In 2013 acted as Technical Researches & Environmental Development Manager who was responsible to implement ECAA's strategy to aviation’s environmental impact as well as point of contact for Egypt's 1st Action Plan for Emission Reduction (APER) submitted to ICAO on 2016. He is a member of CAEP working groups WG1, WG2, WG3, WG4, MDG/FESG and LTAG. He co-led the WG2 Task Group on "aircraft end-of-life and recycling". He is elected in Feb. 2022 as an ICAO CAEP Vice-Chairperson& was one of the delegated members of Egypt who attended the ICAO Assemblies (A38, 39&40).

He is the Egyptian representative of the Environment Committee of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) and was Vice chairman then Chairman of this Committee from 2014 to 2018 respectively

He holds a B.Sc. In "Power& Electrical machines" from the Faculty of Engineering in Shoubra and holds a post graduate 2-years specialized diploma degree in management information's systems and computers (Egypt).
